I think we need to start a relentless movement that inserts Fact Check! after everything that is reported with the source ala Heather Cox Richardson. Maybe if people see this barrage constantly it may spur some critical thinking and help the Community Notes in FB

There was a proposal to spend more money to improve fire management, made in 2019. It was a part of the Green New Deal, but it only got 7 senators and 50-something representatives to support it. It was a non-starter, and will get buried in the onslaught of propaganda, but somebody was thinking about ways to improve prevention, but at that point, no one was willing to actually spend the money to do it.
They dealt with infrastructure the same way for years. Always complaining that we needed new and improved infrastructure, or at least, needed the old stuff fixed, but never wanted to pay for it. However, theyre happy to pass pay raises for themselves, pay for vacations, and anything else that made their lives more plush than they already were. And, they call that fiscal responsibility. Bilk the people to help themselves. They leave it for the Dems to fix, then tell them theyre being fiscally irresponsible. Truly disgusting!!!
I just saw a clip on TV showing Congressman Tommy Tuberville from Alabama saying Quote " CA doesn't deserve anything." I unfortunately live in Alabama and so embarrassed a congressman would say that and to say it on national TV!! What a disgrace! The orange face clown has not even gone to CA and when Halena floods hit he was complaining about VP Harris not showing up. PS Carrie Underwood is entitled to sing at Trump's inaguration but I'm entitled to not buy anymore of her records and will not watch American Idol.
