They won’t get away with this
Trump’s egregious Epstein cover-up ain’t gonna work
You can’t really blame Donald Trump for thinking he can get away with one of the most obvious and insulting cover-ups in the history of American politics.
After all, he’s done it before.
And in the hours and days since Trump’s DOJ released less than 10 percent of the heavily-redacted Epstein files, the usual suspects in the media, the Republican Party and even one disappointing Democrat have fallen into a familiar cadence of playing down crimes that shock the conscience.
On Sunday, the network news shows made clear just how eager corrupt beltway institutions are to make this horrifying story go away.
Whether it was CBS’s Margaret Brennan claiming that the White House was following the “spirit” of the law requiring a full release of the documents or Democratic Sen. Tim Kaine saying it would be “premature” to threaten Pam Bondi with consequences for her cover-up, there are plenty of Washington cowards running interference. The Republican Party is, of course, fine with being the party of protecting pedophiles. It’s basically part of their platform at this point.
But they won’t get away with it. Not this time.
We can feel your skepticism, and we get it. You’ve earned it. Whether it was Mueller or Smith or one of a million other scandals and crimes that was going to bring Trump down, beltway saviors have either let us down or been prevented from doing their jobs.
But there are a couple of things that make this case different. The first is the work of Reps. Ro Khanna and Thomas Massie. They are an unlikely duo, and we would not have guessed at the beginning of 2025 that we would be cheering for either of these men. But they have remained steadfast, and they have successfully defeated Trump and Mike Johnson’s repeated efforts to make this story go away.
But the main reason Trump won’t get away with this shit this time is because of the survivors.
We have seen these brave women travel to Capitol Hill and cable news studios to tell their stories and fight like hell for justice in a country that has a tradition of denying justice for women and sexual assault survivors. But they have persisted, and we have no doubt they won’t be denied.
The thing that makes Massie and Khanna’s cause so righteous is that they’re not doing it purely for politics. We’re not naive enough to pretend that isn’t part of it, but we also think it’s undeniable they are doing it for the women who were abused. And they have made sure to center those women’s voices, reminding us all what and who this is really about and strengthening our argument at every turn.
We are not gonna let this go. We are not going to get distracted. We are not going to forget.
The president of the United States was best friends with a notorious child rapist and trafficker. The president is implicated in those crimes. The president is currently coddling a notorious child rapist and trafficker. His administration is working hard to protect her and the other perpetrators. The president has repeatedly been caught lying about his association with Epstein. This is the scandal of all scandals. We demand to know the truth, the whole truth. And we’re not going to shut up until we get it.
So while the typical beltway creatures might think this is just another story, they’ve got a surprise coming. Because this story isn’t over. There are too many missing pages. And we’re not going to stop until we see them.
And anyone who tries to stop it gets added to the list of accomplices. The press and the centrist wimps would do well to remember that. They can either help us get justice, or they can join the island crowd. We won’t forget which one they choose.
We won’t forget any of this.

I’m currently taking a break to make coffee from Virginia guiffre Robert’s book. The lengths people have taken to silence the victims makes me almost sick as the abuse. Margaret Brennan is such a disappointment
You’re damn right they aren’t getting away with this. Ignore Tim Caine. Hes a decent person but he’s always on the “do
nothing” or “let’s don’t rush” side of opinion. Congress, and that means Dems, are capable of getting the names blacked out. They are blacking out everything except Bill Clinton. They’re holding onto whatever they want. I though the DOJ had people blacking out names, charging over a million dollars to account for their time. They knew they weren’t going to comply and what they turned over is just something for Trump to get a pound of flesh out of Clinton. No we cannot take this like we usually do - lying down so they can walk all over us unimpeded!!! We are going to have to torture the Dems to do what they promised.
