I’m currently taking a break to make coffee from Virginia guiffre Robert’s book. The lengths people have taken to silence the victims makes me almost sick as the abuse. Margaret Brennan is such a disappointment

I hear what you're saying. But the clown can't pardon himself, and even if he could, he'd be alive knowing he is hated, resented, and demoted to a pardoned piece of garbage. How many times does he talk about how wonderful and accomplished he is? That all goes away once he gets convicted, or even pardoned. He might even decide we don't deserve his spectacular self, and resign.

Hey FJ....You sure he can't Pardon himself? I don't think SCROTUS is going to stop him.

And I REALLY want to know if he is going to give blanket pardons to all his staff, just like he did the Jan 6ers. I think he will... and that's why his people behave so "cock sure" and basically give us the finger anytime they have to account for their actions.

Can any SP answer that question regarding Trumps power to Pardon all his staff of criminals? I've been asking that question ever since I saw Bondi's behaviour at the oversight fiasco. sigh...

I don't know the law about that. I'm guessing or assuming he can't pardon himself, but it really doesn't matter. JD will pardon him, as Ford pardoned Nixon. And he can step aside for one minute any time, so JD can pardon him. If he had any brains, he'd do that today. But he still knows what the rest of the world will come to know about him. It gives the lie to all that "nothing good in the world happens without me" bullshit.

Yes, he's already shown us how generous he is about pardoning his crew. He's even been asked about some of the pardons he dished out, and he says he doesn't know anything about it: that some part of his staff told him he should pardon the person. He's playing with Maxwell for the moment, but he'll pardon her, too. He'll pardon his spawn, as Biden pardoned his son even after he said he wouldn't do that.

Hey FJ...thanks for that.

SO, if his minions are operating under that assumption and that assumption is true. We will just go on continuing our never ending story of "letting them get away with it". Whatever the "it"of the day is.Be it Ford with Nixon...Reagan and Mike Flynn...Bush and Florida including Stone and Bannon being part of the Brooks Brothers riots. You know I'm still fuzzy about the WHY of the framers gave that Pardon power out in the first place. I mean I get this gist of it. A person wrongfully treated by the law might be vindicated by a Pardon, BUT the Framers didn't seem to get the "Pay for play" part of that idea. sigh...

Oh, he's definitely going to get away with it.

It's a good and interesting question as to why the Founding Fathers allowed the president to disqualify a sentence that came from the Judiciary and a jury. I suspect you're right that they didn't anticipate the "pay for play" dynamic. The criminal justice system already has the option to let someone out on parole if they're felt to have been rehabilitated enough.

Hey FJ., Looks like I'm going to have to do my constitutional research. You know bone up on just who's idea the pardon was....If you enjoy really great history podcasts you might want to check out these guys;

"The rest is history"

is the name of the podcasts. Not only are they informative, but the two scholars that do the show are hysterical (in a good way). They know their stuff. And are never dull.

Well thank you for the back & forth, And May your holidays be "uncomplicated"

That's the best we could do here at our home.

You’re damn right they aren’t getting away with this. Ignore Tim Caine. Hes a decent person but he’s always on the “do

nothing” or “let’s don’t rush” side of opinion. Congress, and that means Dems, are capable of getting the names blacked out. They are blacking out everything except Bill Clinton. They’re holding onto whatever they want. I though the DOJ had people blacking out names, charging over a million dollars to account for their time. They knew they weren’t going to comply and what they turned over is just something for Trump to get a pound of flesh out of Clinton. No we cannot take this like we usually do - lying down so they can walk all over us unimpeded!!! We are going to have to torture the Dems to do what they promised.

Thank the stars Tim Kaine was not VP. What a fucking waste he has become. In the immortal words of my favorite NY Cabbie: FUCK THAT SHIT. We need to stand up NOW and stand tall. "Oooh we should wait" -- FUCK THAT SHIT. "Oooh we need to litigate" -- FUCK THAT SHIT.

If you had acted when you had the chance., TIMMY, we wouldn't be in this shit.

Tim Caine is further proof that Ralph Nader is right when he explains that the two parties are really just two branches of one party — a party that lies supine and submissive to their corporate masters.

And I don’t believe the fbi took pics of pictures instead of taking the actual evidence. We need to march on the fbi headquarters and demand the keys to where these are stored. And we’ll give them copies.

I agree with Tim Kaine, but only because if we do anything while Trump is in office, he will pardon the person. These would be federal charges. So it IS premature because we need to do this when Trump is gone from the white house and a democrat is in there

Totally wrong. It's trump that must be held accountable, and the facts cannot wait any longer. Otherwise, trump will slither away as he always does. Bondi, etc., must be subjected to accountability for flouting the law!

When? You mean IF. Hesitate and hope for that "safe" opportunity. If it comes. And if the Tim Kaines can manage it even then. Lessons are best taught and learned in the moment. Also the best time to seek justice. So tired, tired of waiting.

Have the financial institutions turned over their records we sent subpoenas for? They should not be allowed even one extra day. We file motions for contempt. And we need to subpoena records and depos. of the institutions or agencies the banks were supposed to report suspicious activity or anything else that might be implicated. And one other thing. We need to send info on what’s going on to every newspaper, news magazine, and reporters investigating this story. Also, all major tv stations and independent news outlets.
