I think that there is an international convention for the naming of international waters which Lake Ontario is. (The Gulf of Mexico, too.). This is for navigation and other purposes. It was never up to Trump to change these names.

I've given this a lot of thought. In my opinion, James is doing okay in his race. Paxton is Trump 2.0, and James' team knows what they are doing. James has even addressed Jasmine's campaigning at an event, even supporting her decision. Her campaigning for down-ballot races also helps him. He has been improving with black voters from what I've seen from people I feel are legit in their assessments. He needs to win on his merits; a black woman doesn't need to do his work.
When Beto ran against Cruz, a lot of down-ballot success was had. The GOP worked hard on that, especially in Harris County. They went hard after all the elected black women judges a few elections back to reclaim those courts. If she can help all the other down-ballot races vote blue and raise money, then James, who is rumored to be sharing his fundraising, may have more as attacks heat up.
I truly believe Jasmine wants blue to win, bottom line.

If candidates should all win on their own merits, why does anyone campaign for anyone else? Crockett is choosing hands to hold, just not the one at the top of the ticket belonging to the man who defeated her.
