The special election earlier this year, where there was a surprise Democrat win, and the large Democrat turnout in the primaries, have scared the GOP, and that is why they are working even harder than usual to suppress votes. Things could happen here in Texas.
Also, I believe the new attack on Talarico is that he had a relationship with his Chief of Staff. Neither was married, and it was consensual. Paxton should not throw any rocks.

Garrett Graff's article on the first 17 minutes of 9/11 brought what happened that morning back brilliantly. I remember my sister calling me to frantically tell me to turn on the tv. Unimaginable tragedy.
I can’t watch much of what happened that day. My daughter got off the train in the basement of WTC 1 just as the first plane hit. From that time until 8:30 that evening, I didn’t know whether she was alive or dead. She did get out, but it still brings the terror back to both of us.
I’ll never forget that day! I was the nurse manager at a public health clinic. We had a tv in the lobby but no cable hook up. Within minutes of the attack the cable went live and the tv was on as we watched the twin towers burning. That was followed by the fear of anthrax and me stocking up on Cipro, emergency planning meetings and more 😢🇺🇸

I had some of the best 7 years of my life in Emporia getting a four year degree. Worked at “The Beef” too (not the best place to work, for sure) and later on in their hospital. Happy to see the place and the candidate get positive writing in today’s news letter.
Wow, that's crazy! I do fondly remember going to ESU football games as a kid. My dad got his teaching degree there and I was born at Newman. In fact, I grew up a few houses down from the hospital on Oak street. We would build sled ramps and snow forts out of the huge piles of snow that got made when their parking lot got plowed. My step-dad worked at The Beef for years and years, not sure how he could stand it. I can still remember how bad he smelled when he got home from work.
