Hakeem Jefferies didn't just make this one mistake, and he has NOT held the caucus together - most notably The DHS and ICE Funding votes in January and March 2026. Funding could have been blocked but he failed! Then he talks trash about Medicare for all - WHEN HE ONCE PROMOTED IT!! He would be a terrible speaker, and I hope he doesn't get it.
I agree. Jeffries didn't hold the caucus together, in fact he's been pretty much MIA for the past year and a half. There have been hundreds of opportunities to give inspiring speeches opposing the Trump agenda, but I don't remember Jeffries delivering any.
This moment in history is too important to throw away the Speakership on someone who lacks any spark of leadership. What this moment calls for is a smart, strong, charismatic, brave, innovative leader, and Jeffries has none of those qualities. Jeffries is another Merrick Garland, and we CANNOT afford to go there again. I know some people think Jeffries should have his chance because Nancy Pelosi chose him, and she held us together during Trump's first term. Sorry to say, I think Nancy blew it this time.

They are a bit of a one trick pony, but they made the point that Kushner has real estate interests in Gaza and Jeffries has been bought by the Israelis. They were making sure Israel will continue to be supported if he is speaker in 2027. My take on that? Fuck Israel and their Isreal estate!
