Why does Trump need to feel more powerful than an 8 year-old boy? Because he has dementia. Why can't we trust Trump's posts about the Iran War? Because he has dementia. Why can't we trust Republicans to tell the truth about Epstein? Because they are sexist and guilty -- and taking advantage of Orange Puppet Trump because he has dementia.

Hey E.C., I think Dementia is his campaign manager, from an Eastern bloc country. LOL

Nothing can boost one's mood quite like children telling it how it is. Thanks for that!

Sam, please vote for Becerra. “No Kings, No Billionaires”! Thank you for your attention to this matter 😁

Elizabeth Tetzlaff's avatar

I am voting for Becerra. He's the most qualified. I wish he had a bit more personality, but none of them do. Sigh. The Republican candidates are terrifying! We have to align around the most electable Democrat.

Lynda's avatar

I just read a bit of a Substack on another platform, where the person talked about how everyone was coming for him during the CNN debate. Not only is that because he’s the one to beat, but look how calm he remained. That’s how he will deal with any crisis as they come.

Tort McCarter's avatar

Please see my posts below about Becerra & Big Oil. I was for him before I found out about that. Read Bill McKibben’s Op-Ed in the LA Times a few days ago, it’s scary.

Lynda's avatar

No. I just saw this, but his oil connections include suing oil companies for big sums money to protect our country.

Steyer Is using the big money he has made in fossil fuels, private prisons, concentration camps, and AI to fund his campaign. Nope. He doesn’t even have experience running anything like our state. And now he’s paying influencers around the world to promote himself, breaking California law by not disclosing these payments.

I voted for Becerra.

What's with potentially deadly diseases on cruise ships when the donald happens to be president?

And..I believe the sheriff in Tucson, Kush couldn't give a fuck about Nancy, as I recall wasn't he in Italy with the hockey team. He's a piece of shit.

My 8 year old granddaughter, Clara, could take the orange jerk! She’s been doing ninja warrior training; if she can take the warped wall, she can whip that ninny! So glad Michigan is holding the dem line!

Thank you for sharing the wonderful conversation with the eight-year-old. I'm confident that he could take Trump in a fair fight. Today was a great column. I love you guys.

The "interview" was priceless. Thank you for the laughs!

Yes to the SCOTUS plan. That’s job #1. We better not be voting for anyone who doesn’t have a SCOTUS plan. They have done more to damage this country than Congress!

Kari Hinman's avatar

Do the Robert Hubbell strategy, wait to cast your vote for whichever Dem is ahead in the poll on election day. Otherwise, you are potentially throwing your vote to the Republican.

Tort McCarter's avatar

Sam, don’t vote for Becerra! Read the op-ed in the LA Times from a couple of days ago-he’s in the pocket of Big Oil, who are also his top donors. Why would that be, if they didn’t think they could get something from him? As Attorney General, he didn’t go after them, despite pleas from many to do so. Article written by Bill McKibben, who has impeccable eco credentials.

I watched the debates that were televised and Becerra just didn’t hit the mark for me. He talked around too many questions without answering and I didn’t feel like he aligned with the progressive values I want represented. He was trying to skate too close to the center. I also saw that someone who worked with him in the administration said he wasn’t exactly highly revered for actually getting things done.

I’m leaning towards Katie Porter or (hate to say it) Tom Steyer. The billionaire of it all is definitely not ideal and I originally wrote him off as an absolutely not. But he did divest from the shady private prison shit years ago and I can’t help but think of Pritzker managing to prove there are exceptions to the rule of rich people being asshats. And though Porter had some attitude issues, they were outbursts that I know if she were a man wouldn’t have been nearly the shadow on his campaign that it is for her. She also kept working with that person for years afterwards and owned up to being an unmitigated jerk, in the wrong, and apologized. Plus, I liked Steyer’s and Porter’s answers and stances a lot better than the rest of them. I just don’t know man.

This jungle primary is such bullshit and we really need to switch to ranked-choice.

Elizabeth Tetzlaff's avatar

All good points, but who is the most electable and has the path to victory? I like a lot of things about Porter, but she is not going to win IMO. She's further behind now than before Swalwell dropped; she picked up nothing from that, which says a lot about where folks will vote. Tom, well...he's no JP and I fear he is promising some good things he will be unable to deliver. Becerra has the experience and the calm demeanor under pressure. And yeah this stupid BS jungle needs to go.

Melissa magic's avatar

I am moved to Tom Steyer. I don't think he will be a Fetterman. No governor can guarantee delivering but I take him at his word what he believes. True Steyer has not held an elected office but I don't see it as an impediment. He's smart, he's aware.

We must be very smart about our voting in the primary. Sheriff Bianco has no chance to be governor, he knows that and that isn't his end game. It's to get a plum job in ICE with current administration. Katie Porter is very smart, she won't win in the primary but put her in charge of a serious watch dog department.

Joan Wiersma's avatar

I really like him too. I believe he'll go after the billionaires, he believes that HE should pay more taxes too.

arne link's avatar

Porter is very strong and smart, but we cannot put a woman up against that Sherriff. Many people won't vote for a woman no matter what. We have to win this one. If the Nazi Sherriff wins then California is done. Our state consists of a majority of people with melanin in their skin. Does he plan to put them all in private prisons?

arne link's avatar

I worry about Steyer being a closet Republican like Fetterman and others. I like Katy Porter but I think she's been ruined by that one little gaff. If it comes down to Becerra Steyer, IDK. I'll decide when I have more information. Yes, Ranked choice must go.

Tort McCarter's avatar

See my posts on Becerra & Big Oil below. Hard NO for me now.

Joan Wiersma's avatar

Thenn read more about him! Do more research on him. I don't believe that he's a closet Rep. He's a honest guy.

Regarding the Hantavirus Social Cruise Club, it's important to remember that back in April, 2025, RFK Jr. fired ALL of the full-time employees in the CDC's Prevention Vessel Sanitation Program, gutting the agency's ability to investigate outbreaks and conduct health inspections on cruise ships.

Agency staff were in the middle of responding to two outbreaks when they were let go, an official said.

The real choker? THE CRUISE SHIPS PAID THE CDC FOR THIS SERVICE. NO TAXPAYER DOLLARS WERE USED.

Let's face facts, Fucker Jr. just wants to kill us all.

That clip of the kids imitating the maggot is from his first term. Still funny, though.

Sam, I’m supporting Becerra. He’s the most experienced.

We don’t need another fucking billionaire with no experience. That’s what we have in the WH. Ugh.

Rachel Dooley's avatar

I’m supporting Becerra too. Experience, calm demeanor, and now the leading Dem in polls. We need to coalesce behind him before June 2nd and keep the GOP morons from being the top two vote-getters! I could not deal with one of them as governor - on top of everything else were dealing with right now, that would send me right over the edge.

Tort McCarter's avatar

See my posts below about Becerra & Big Oil. I was for him, too, before I found this out.

Pamela Fender's avatar

I don't understand people commenting here saying that they trust Steyer because he will tax the billionaires. I don't trust that for a minute. I see another fake Dem.

And besides, he has absolutely NO political experience. Look at what we ended up with in the WH!

Joan Wiersma's avatar

I don't , and I trust his word. I hope he WINS!

Pamela Fender's avatar

Your opinion is none of my business. Besides, you’re foolish.

Pamela Fender's avatar

I think if they put the maggot hooked up on a lie detector, the fucking machine would explode on impact.

Hey everyone - thoughts on Kamala running in '28? I've always liked Kamala, as a matter of fact I was all for her during her Presidential run, over Joe and I've always been a Joe supporter for Prez. BUT, I'm just not up to the crap that will go on if she runs. Especially with Newsom and Pritzger in the mix. All I know is we HAVE to win the office in '28. So..... anyone have thoughts?
