We Mainers are more than sick of Collins, and we generally aren't that enthused about tough guys either—G.P. was a little rough-hewn but didn't become a "tough guy" until he decided to wait until the deadline to officially drop out. I'm worried he's hoping for write-in votes, and I was somewhat concerned about Fetterman-style vibes. We have at least two very good potential replacement candidates, and I'll be happy when Maine goes back to being out of the spotlight.
