I quit Amazon Prime and will no longer order anything on Amazon. I don't have a WaPo account so that was my way to protest Bezos. I also emailed him to let him know why I cancelled. Just because he OWNS the paper does not make him an expert on journalism. He has professionals aka the editorial board there to make journalistic decisions. It would be like a hospital administrator telling surgeons not to do a surgery or which one to do. In the case of Bezos, his action interfered with a free press -- which is already having enough troubles doing its job to support democracy. Sheesh.

I have never understood the addiction to Amazon. I can usually get better products at better prices on Ebay if not in my small town stores. And they sell so much crap and knock-offs. Checking Amazon, for me, is an act of last resort. They can’t even provide a useful search/filter database, That is intentional because they want to drive you to bullshit you don’t want rather than respect your time by giving you the tools to search for what you actually want (Ebay does this so much better).
