This doesn't have anything to do with today's news, but I believe it is worth bringing up. With everything in this country turned inside out because of trump, this is something that is flying under the radar and I feel is extremely important... Trump's plan under project 2025 is to eradicate all the wild horses on public lands so he can prioritize the land and sell to Zuckerberg, bezos and the rest so they can frack, drill and rape the land. Horses are the caretakers of the environment. The wild horses are America's heritage. We would not be here without them. And if that's not enough, now he is going after the buffalo! Haven't we been here before??!

The Virginia Foxx story is not surprising to most North Carolinians. I luckily don't live in her district but unfortunately DO live in NC8 - the gerrymandered district from the last election that gave us Mark Harris - the Baptist Preacher who caused the results to be thrown out in his previous run because he used someone who culled absentee ballots (yeah, nothing fishy there). I am not a native North Carolinian but have lived in this state more than half my life - we used to be a shining star in the South. But thanks to the Repugnikan controlled State House, it is doing its damnedest to stay in power. What used to be purple is now an urban pool of blue surrounded by rural red. More registered voters in NC are Unaffiliated, and they need to bring back some sanity. PLEASE...
Nothing is forever. We thought Roe v. Wade was settled law and would last “forever”. It didn’t. We thought the Voting Rights Act was a step forward to right some traditional wrongs and was so logical and fair, that it would last forever. It didn’t. As long as people, good people and venal, racist, and immoral people alike can run for office, NOTHING is guaranteed. I wish that was fixable, but I don’t think it is.
China is cheering because Jabba has improved their standing in the world while lowering our own immeasurably. Xi couldn’t be bothered to greet Jabba, much less say thank you.
I am sooooo glad we are having therapy today! It is so needed. My gaud, Tim Cook has really tarnished his reputation. It seems all that Apple money did this. What would Steve Jobs think?
