Every Blue state should immediately activate and mobilize its National Guard to protect itself from hostile invasion by the federal government. Blue and purple states should combine and coordinate forces, enlist the fired generals, admirals and commanders to take charge of these forces, neutralize ICE and secure our borders, and form alliances with Canada and NATO. Minneapolis is our Fort Sumter. They have begun a new civil war and we must defend ourselves and our patriotic values.

I don't condone violence, but if we're becoming the sort of country that uses execution as a punishment, wouldn't it be more satisfying to impeach FIRST? ;)
Did you see the National Guard in Minnesota handing out donuts and some coffee TO the protesters? This is the fucking way to do it. You’re there to protect those people and you’re letting them know you are actually doing your job.

RE: Shut em’ down- The second I learned of the assassination of Pretti I sent the following email to every one of my VA legislators out of pure rage. Every official’s website provides a ‘checkbox’ you are asked to populate if you’d like a response from their office. Of course I checked every box on every legislator’s communications channel. Thus far, only Governor Spanberger’s office has sent an ‘automated’ confirmation my email was received. I obvs didn’t expect much of a response but even this is below the floor of expectations of an elected official and the equivalent of ‘gone fishin’ status to your constituents. Although I know, rationally, my emails didn’t and won’t stop the harassment and murder of citizens I just had to do something. So, so filled with empty feeling at this point. See below for text of my emails. Maybe my words of outrage will help you in some small way.

I gladly and happily contributed every dollar I could spare to your campaign because I believed and still do that you have the moral compass and integrity to do what is needed to get our country back on the just and humane track we were once so eager to embrace. Now your supporters need to know you have our backs and the backs of every American. Organize rallies, show up and walk with your constituents in this protests and rallies. If people in a position of power, such as yourself, can’t lead us out of this nightmare, then who?
It is within your ‘wheelhouse’ and what you were elected to do, in good times and bad. REPRESENT AND LEAD!
