Todd Blanche has been referred to the D.C. and the New York Bar and Woodward has been referred to the Florida Bar! One other lawyer cannot practice for a year in Florida! This is a huge ruling. Regarding Michigan: I am concerned, yes, about whether El-Sayed can win statewide (though if you believe polls, his chances seem similar to Stevens'). I am equally worried that progressives will stay home if they don't get the candidate they want (don't talk to me about AIPAC as though letting pro-Israel Mike Rogers get elected is somehow a principled choice). For my part, I am going to support the Dem candidate no matter what, and possibly actively campaign, which I have done only once (against gerrymandering). The stakes are too high to lose this seat to a Republican.
Our planet is cooking us because we've been putting it in the frying pan for decades now. But profit is always more important, it seems, than actually protecting the planet that gives us all life. The biggest flaw in humans is that the development of wisdom and understanding the big picture is way out paced by our "intelligence" and lust for more of everything.
