If you listen to Dolly and her upbeat outlook on everything - despite living in this effed up world- and her own personal losses/health challenges-it reminds us all that we should focus on the positive in our lives and if necessary, create something positive to focus on! Love that gal.
So, we can't afford healthcare of any sort, we're at a 'war of choice' that is making everything everywhere in the world cost more, and we can't make the lives of the people that actually PAY taxes any better, but the Republicunts think that a wise use of $600 billion of OUR money is a good idea (this is assuming, of course, that the tangerine taint actually got the original $400 billion from private donors)?
And, I'm sorry, but according to their proposal, it's for security upgrades? $600 billion worth? Give me a fucking break. I hope for that extra 600 that Mr. "I aced a dementia test 3 whole times" at least gets a diaper changing station...
My first encounter with any federal LEOs were Secret Service when I was 10 and my mentally ill uncle was having a breakdown. He called the President and threatened him. I just remember their car was a black sedan, they wore black suits, I knew they were feds as soon as I saw their suits and car, and my first thought was my uncle did something stupid and crazy. It was right after the 1980 election, the Carter SS agents were professional, nothing like the jackass jerking off. What a fall.
I'm glad to see NEISD make that change. It's amazing how low MAGA has infiltrated society. Here in the Houston area, I have friends working to get a moderate/progressive onto a school board. It may take them 2 years to do it.
Also, voter turnout is low because those races really are not advertised, and many people do not understand why they need to get off the couch and vote.
Maybe I'm just tired because of a flight delay yesterday, but why are the people in charge so fucking stupid?
