I know you probably didn't see this, but the Virginia Supreme Court overturned the new congressional maps in Virginia. It's has a republican majority so it's not a surprise.
And a 115,000 new jobs is hardly a good report; when it happened under Biden you would have thought the world was ending. But the corporate media sucks as always.
Woodland, step back and take a breather in nature. Don’t doom scroll. Sign petitions, donate to the ACLU or Marc Elias who are fighting this. If you can. Make phone calls to Congress/Senate. It helps and you get back some control. They’re trying to wear you down. Fighting back makes you stronger. 💙💙💙

We have about as many concerns about Susan Collins “nervous condition” as she has had for her constituents. Vote her out. If her “nervous condition” isn’t affecting her job, then her ethical condition definitely is.

With the narrow Virginia Supreme Court ruling nullifying the will of its citizens, fascism is alive and well in the Confederate States of America. A big shout out to John "Jim Crow" Roberts and his band of fellow fascism-promoting "jurists" for helping the "South rise again."
While the states in the Confederacy unilaterally redraw Congressional maps to eliminate minority representation and to favor MAGA/fascist candidates, the Virginia Supreme Court has tied the other hand behind the backs of democracy-loving Americans. Shame on those four fascist justices. Oh, and fuck them, too. Let's mobilize and send all of the MAGA fascists (redundancy noted) to electoral hell.
Sean Duffy encourages Americans to take road trips because 1) it will help make up for all the lost tourism because no one wants to come here and 2) no other country wants us to visit them either.
The judiciary, which many hoped would be our safeguard, has become compromised at its highest levels. It is now clear that the only path to meaningful change is through voting at every level of government. We are seeing the fruits of a long-term strategy—a playbook that has been followed faithfully for decades. While we thought we were all playing the same game, it appears their goal was actually to undermine democracy itself. I realize now how wrong I was to believe that Republicans shared the same goals and simply preferred a different route; their destination is fundamentally different.
Amazing how play nice dems follow the rules and the courts beat them up, then cheating GOP break laws and ignores constitutions and courts do nothing. Only in Amerika and probably Russia and China and North Korea.
John 'Bull' (as in Conner)' Roberts demands an apology from you guys! The conservatives on SCOTUS are not racists! After all, they elected Clarence Thomas as their new Grand Dragon! Their change to white robes and silly hats/masks is simply a nod to history and the way they want things to be again. They are, as they keep telling us, especially Neil Gorsuch on his fox news appearances, originalists when it comes to the constitution. Blacks were considered 3/5 a person and Roberts likes that number. Roberts said that Clarence Thomas is ok since he is transitioning to white by hanging with white guys so much and being corrupt. While transitioning sexually is a non no, transitioning from black to white is encouraged at the court.
Sadly, this is our truth now. It goes without saying that there are still many brave people here. However, we are no longer collectively brave, together. This is what America is now under the occupation of Donald J. Trump and his MAGA regime.💢
