On the Texas Dem primary - strategy matters. One strategy is holding the base and going after the couch sitters, another is holding the base and courting MAGA. According to Pastor Robbie P. Jones who studies white Christian nationalists, this a losing strategy and this group is on hype in the great state of Texas. I ain't taking a side - I'm just talking strategy. We are not in normal times. So a new strategy needs to be tried.

Apparently, Quakertown, PA has a fascist sheriff. This guy wades anonymously (no police ID, no badge, no police uniform) into a student protest about ICE taking their friends and killing American citizens and he puts a teen girl into a rear choke hold and is surprised when her friends start hitting him in the head to get him off her. So he throws them in jail. For 4 days.

And.... Capitol police arrested the disabled guest of Representative Ilhan Omar at the Sotu speech. The guest, a disabled woman named Aliyah Rahman, was injured by ICE after they dragged her out of her car in Minneapolis in January. At the Sotu, Ms. Rahman was arrested for standing when asked to sit down during the speech. She was accused of "unlawful conduct" by disrupting the Sotu. She was taken to the hospital for inuries she said was caused by rough treatment by Capitol police, before her appearance at the Capitol police station.
