It’s Thursday. There are 152 days until the midterm elections. The slush fund ain’t dead, House Democrats score a victory for peace and don’t forget about Ohio.
Hey Sam, Hey Adam...and all you SP's out there, Another day in what the fuck land.
Ben over at the Meidas touch has a really good piece on this Albania Kushner BS.
If you want to hear the modern day Marie Antionette...you should listen to the Blond nepo baby, talk. It's astonishing. It's like these people are so precious, so above the common folk...
You really can't imagine how these people talk until you hear one open their yaps.
Maybe the Albanians can take care of this problem for us. Here's the link;
Kaitlin Collins can handle Trump while the male reporters stand there with their thumbs up their asses! And not smiling might I add! Kaitlin is full proof that our next president should be a woman!!!!
Spot on, Linda! Kaitlin is one cool, calm, intelligent, strategic journalist. Tough as nails. Which is evidently threatening to some guys with thin skin and no..... well, you get it.
More urging to push hard on the corruption-affordability link
Always link the two in any messages going out so it gets firmly implanted in voter’s minds so that whenever they hear about either concern they will think of the other.
Rahm Emanuel told Semafor that Democrats “should sharpen their arguments about President Donald Trump’s self-dealing while in office — by hitching them to affordability-focused messaging.” Said Emanuel: “This is a gem sitting there. I think the Democrats … have been episodic in touching it, rather than front and center. Corruption as part of the affordability narrative is more chess, where affordability alone is more checkers.”
Democrats zero in on an anti-corruption message: From the Politics Desk. Democrats think their secret sauce in 2026 is targeting Trump and Republicans on corruption. “We’re doing it in every corner of the country,” said one national Democratic strategist. “And the idea is it’s an affordability cycle, and so everybody cares about affordability, No. 1, when you pair the message with the reason that your costs are going up is because politicians care more about themselves, they’re corrupt, they’re bought by corporate donors or they’re lining their own pockets, and that’s why they’re not looking out for you, that’s the most potent mix of the two arguments.”
House Democrats launch new anti-corruption caucus targeting Trump-era ethics concerns. And, importantly, what specifically will a) Democrats promise to do if elected to counter abuse/democracy/corruption that they can campaign on as well; and b) Democrats promise to do if elected to increase affordability.
The Shonda Rhimes oval office is SO lovely, clean, tidy, professional, uncluttered... unlike the current ghastly ghoul's version of it. Thank you, Shonda, for the reminder!!!
I may be late to the party on this - but we all know the real reason Trump doesn't like mail-in ballots... because they have to be COUNTED and can't be manipulated, unlike electronic voting machines.
Also - I voted for Katie Porter and she was at least in the double-digits AND was the only one that didn't take corporate donations. She was also endorsed by the San Francisco Chronicle, and they wrote that she was the only one with a feasible plan for all the policies she talked about, unlike the other 999 Dem candidates that were on the ballot. Rusty Hicks, the CA Dem leader needs to be fired over this debacle.
trump's going to scream "election rigging, fraud" or whatever no matter how long it takes CA to count mail in ballots. I was disappointed about Katie Porter also.
“We can only assume that right now the HHS Secretary is hard at work trying to figure out how to have sex with these things.” What a line. Great laugh out loud. Thanks. And I don’t think trump cares at all about the slush fund. He just wants the IRS immunity.
Was so happy to see Albanians protesting the Jered/Ivanka deal. Of course, it also made me think of an old Cheers episode where Sam is trying to pass a class in geography by singing the facts he needs to memorize...
"Albania, Albania,
You border on the Adriatic,
You are mainly mountainous,
And your major export is chrome!"
Before the protests, this was all I really knew about Albania--and I've no idea if chrome is still the major export.
Wow, I was surprised at the whiff of misogyny from you brave SPs, calling out Katie Porter for not dropping out. She was polling higher than Becerra before Swallwell dropped out, and polling well until the last two weeks. I was planning to vote for her anyway, until she dropped so low. Why not call out the other 10 or so random dems who were running? If only she had smiled more 🙄 Not a fan of Becerra, but I’ll vote for him in the general election if I have to.
As a Democratic Californian, I was also disappointed in how many Dems stayed in the governor race…but for you to call out the only woman (feasibly) in the race as someone who should have dropped out was also disappointing. In the most recent polling prior to Election Day, the two male mayors (Villaraigosa and the Thiel-backed Mahan) weren't polling as well as Katie Porter, yet you didn't chastise them for staying in.
Love that you're calling out Jake - can't think of a more deserving chickenshit. So Kaitlin is getting under his (ugh) skin! Good on her. Don't know how many times, when I was younger, men would tell me I'd be prettier if I would smile more.
No one should mention the arrival of the screwworm in Texas without noting that Texas and Mexico and the US gov't had been monitoring the worm's northward progress for years. There was a cross-border research project to find ways to stop it or prevent its harm. In South Central Texas we've been hearing about it for years.
Guess what happened to the international research project? DOGE. Of course.
So, here imthe worm is, and it's likely to cost cattle producers a billion dollars and — raise beef proces to consumers. Even more.

Hopefully the good folks in Albania will kick his scrawny grifty self out of their beautiful, nature loving country.
Hey JS., Pitchforks and torches.
It's the Fundie Baby voice. Excruciating.
(Katy Britt, et. al.)
Hey DB., Can you imagine a room full of that sound? And the fact that they think they are so brilliant, because they came out of the right vagina?
I'm thinking France 1793.
Mike Nellis also has a good 10- minute Substack this morning.
Thanks PF, gonna check it out.
Hey SP's out there, Here's real info. on the Albanian situation from Dean Blundell:

WTF?
Note 9. This Albania story is pure gold. The people are practically rioting in Albania. Go hard on it.

Fuck you misogynists for dissing Katie Porter. You should follow your own advice and stay out of primaries dickheads
I disagree but I respect and appreciate your rage and profanity.
Katie fucked up big time when she left her congressional seat to run against Adam Schiff for senator. She really should have stayed.
Wow … over-react much? 😳😵💫
I didn’t sense any misogyny in the Porter comment.
Seems to me that Swalwell may have been the real and “primary” misogynist villain in this entire “jungle” drama series.
Eyes on the prize … which must be a sole, viable, and winnable California Democrat gubernatorial candidate. 🏆☮️

Now we have to worry about Flesh eating worms🙈
Hey SJ., If you think about it...aren't Maggots flesh eating worms? lol
That’s true. Gross, it’s all gross
Support Sherrod Brown!!!!

Hey PR., That skit is very funny...Chromium IS an export of Albania. We've all learned something new. Thanks to you.
