My overseas ballot is in! Got the email a little after midnight from the great Pima County folks and filled out the ballot online a few hours later. Feels good but a little weird to have done it so early.
Just received today my e-ballot from the Great State of New York!🗽🍎🗳️
I still need to send it “the old fashioned way” (overseas voters cannot submit a ballot electronically), but it’s worth noting that — at least so far — the “system” is working. 👍🏽😎🙏🏾
Given all the recent USPS “dumbcluckery” debacles, I can also drop my ballot into a collection point at the US Embassy in Paris.

WE WERE going to be gone all October on a well-deserved vacay (I've been working my ass off for three years straight now without one at work, and deperately need a break. )
I'm a poll worker in SoAZ and during the primary, we had a MAGAt inspector that was sooo horrible (racist, not following protocol, violating laws) that not only did I write a three page single spaced documentation of all the violations, I learned three other workers did too! So that MAGAts ass is grass, never to work any election in the state again! PLUS, new training procedures include having every election worker sign an affidavit acknowledging FIFTEEN violation points we brought up, and if anyone at a voting center violates ONE, we are to call the hotline and they will be immediately removed and replaced. YEAH BABY!
Sadly, for the first time ever, our training also included Active Shooter drills... but as I told the guy whining about it beside me, "THIS is what we make six-year-olds go through in first grade, every damn month. Maybe you should think about that."
I thought that Detroit News reporter that they interviewed after the “debate” (that chicken shit didn’t attend) was super biased towards Roger’s. Ugh. El Sayed did get a lot of good points across. Hope that the metro area was listening!

Thank heaven I live in Virginia. Early voting starts today! I’ve been participating regularly in a weekly protest outside Ben Cline’s office for 80+ weeks. My sign has had a countdown to midterms and early voting each week. Looking forward to my new sign which will say GO VOTE NOW. We are, unfortunately, in a heavily red district which would have been diluted by our vote earlier this year to change the district makeups. Anyone in District 6, VOTE FOR BETH MACY.
I'm from PA and contributing monthly to Josh Shapiro, Abdul, Tallarico and Ossoff - $50/month each. It's the least I can do. This Orange Ogre has triggered daily Migraines since he took office and I can't wait for them to end - when either the clot breaks loose or he falls down the stairs of his Luxury AF1. I wish I was kidding about the migraines - I'm not. They are awful.

I think that the democrat advisors are all republican operatives, because they’re sure not in tune with what voters want. I don’t know who they are advocating for, but it’s not us. I’m in SC and supporting Annie Andrews here, Mary Peltola in Alaska, Abdul El-Sayed in Michigan, Sherrod Brown in Ohio, and I’m hoping to support other candidates next month.
Thanks as always for helping me survive this butt crack of times (Sam, Adam, and all of you SPs). To answer the question: I am not just keeping my eye on the bigger fish, but also doing the legwork for our local and county elections. In the past, I have not focused on the importance of hoofing it for our candidates running for County Commissioner, City Council, mayor, etc. We need to fight at all levels. My two cents - have a great weekend, all!
