It would seem his DIL RNC chair has shifted so much $ from the campaign to his defense fund that they’re no longer able to send signage and paid organizers out to the deep red states. That’s going to hurt him in those, because much of his base relies on continuous emotional stimulation to stay engaged and not get apathetic.
That’s also true for the Dems to some degree as well; but when your supporters are much if not mostly fired-up by strong emotions like hatred and fear then you have to keep their adrenaline pumping for them to stay engaged and energized. His ‘walking it back’ on the messaging around issues like abortion & 2025 isn’t helping him with his base either, because again strong emotion fuels their engagement.
Here’s some context to consider. The lack of signage isn’t just the mass produced variety. It wasn’t that long ago when his base, particularly in the deep red states, was proud to produce their own homemade campaign posters. That type of homemade signage is now also mostly conspicuous by its absence, save for the few who have made it their mission in life to produce and display it all over their vehicles and homes.
It has to make one wonder if his campaign strategists aren’t doing this more by design than lack of funds, so as to use lower turnout for him in deep red states as ‘evidence’ of election fraud. It seems to me that for every independent voter he fools into believing his positional flip flops he’s losing at least 2 or more core supporters who are disappointed by his backpedaling on the emotionally charged issues which got them to vote for him in the first place.
A lot of great thoughts there, thanks for sharing. But I think you give Trump's campaign too much credit thinking they are holding back on signage to further set up the next election fraud lie. That's next-level thinking and I can't imagine anythign buyt a mad scramble going on non-stop there.

Yes, he is running to stay out of prison. He and the Dalton Gang are making up stories (also called lies) about Kamala Harris. Why wasn't he sent to jail after his conviction for lying about Stormy Daniels? If he had been poor and black or a pet-eating immigrant the lying SOB would be in a cold jail cell.
Trump is only running to stay out of prison. Anything else he says or does is a distraction.
