It’s Wednesday. There are 69 (nice) days until the midterms. Hegseth broke the military, Republicans run from Trump and a few words about an American angel.
I love Dolly Parton. I love her music. She always presented as kind&gracious.
But what I loved about her is the lie she gives to “common wisdom”: No! one doesn’t need to come from a wealthy family to manifest brilliance. One does not need a penis to be creative&talented.
It’s ok for women to have big breast, big hair&rhinestones. Women should not have to dress like a nun to be taken seriously.
Dolly Parton was wonderful in every way it’s possible to measure.
I’m going to miss Dolly Parton terribly. So many people who call themselves Christian should have taken a page from her book. She didn’t just talk the talk, she quietly walked the walk with kindness, generosity, and grace. I’ll forever be asking for the Moderna vaccine because of her, and I just donated a little piece of my pay monthly to help fund her literacy campaign. Rest in peace, Dolly. They took the wrong 80-year-old.
When I saw the news yesterday, I literally cried. I do not believe I have ever cried for a celebrity before. Losing her made the world a little darker for me.
And Democrats just can't help themselves by not being united. Try working together. Look at how much harm Republicans did by working together. The only way to end/fix the damage they did is to FUCKING WORK TOGETHER.
Dolly was the same age as the Orange Buffoon - and that was all they had in common. She was kind, caring, and modest. I really wish yesterday had been opposite day.
