It’s Tuesday. There are 301 days until the midterm elections. Brainworm felcher tries to kill more kids, Mike Little Johnson’s life gets harder and five years since Trump attacked America.
Harry S. Truman, after his term as President was over, was offered many cushy jobs that would have made him wealthy. But he turned them all down. He wrote: “I could never lend myself to any transaction, however respectable, that would commercialize on the prestige and dignity of the presidency.”
That is the kind of integrity and patriotism we should demand in our Presidents and elected officials. How could this once-great nation, who has produced truly great leaders such as Truman, have sunk so low as to elect a psychopathic criminal grifter and his spineless sycophants whose only thought is to grab power and make themselves rich.
While watching that interview of Stephen Miller, I closed my eyes for a moment, when all of the sudden I imagined that a large steamy turd speaking with PeeWee Hermans voice was on TV.
Hey SP's, Coup d'etat to you all. I remember exactly where I was and what I was doing that day. And I'm guessing you all do too. I think I'll leave it there. The sadness is just too overwhelming.
If Machado were to give Trump her Nobel Peace Prize the gesture would have no more meaning than if Sally Field were to give him her Oscar. It would not mean that Trump won the Oscar for Norma Rae. Once someone wins an award, they can do anything with it, including sell it or throw it in the trash. It is meaningless and doesn’t alter the record of who won the award.
You’re pep talk in the opening notes was very helpful to me today; “We have to remind ourselves that when you’re going through hell, you should keep going. It’s the only goddamn way out.” Those words are our reality and that’s exactly what I’m going to do. Thanks Adam & Sam
I'm trying to think of something more disgusting than the things on which you reported, but nothing comes to mind. You kind of summarized it with your "Everything sucks" in the first Note.
Note six: You think that maybe one of these days, the press will ask which one of them about his evil buddy?
Note eight: Ah, Marge. She's such a patriot. She planned her resignation for the day after she qualified for her large pension.
Note nine: I was having an interesting back and forth with some English guy, who might live in Belgium, on Substack, and he predicted we'd try to take over Greenland. He said he'd eat his hat if we didn't, and that such a move would not go unresponded to. I said "good. We deserve it."
Note 10: Far be it from me to criticize anyone's appearance, but what does anyone expect from someone who looks that ghoulish?
Note 12: Great opening: "How stupid is Trump?" Do you want the long list, or the short list?
Note 13: I never know how to convert the "Jaws" theme into letters.
Note 18: He doesn't understand about veto-proof majorities, or his arithmetic isn't that good?
"Today's clips," paragraph four: Absolutely right! Having and expressing an opinion simply must be a crime of some sort.
If I may address only one of your points — The Jan 6th coup attempt was filmed in its entirety from every imaginable angle. The press was there and made video and took photos. Security cameras inside and outside the Capitol building caught views of much of the action, and even the criminals photographed themselves in action AND YET....Trump and congressional Republicans continue to downplay the whole event. They want us to believe them rather that to trust our own eyes...and sadly there are still people who are either looking away, are blind, brainwashed or all three. Some of those traitors who stormed the building and injured more than 150 police officers carried American flags....and they should never be able to possess another American flag. Yes, I'm pissed.
I read your stuff all the time, but rarely take the time to thank you. I appreciate your posts, but I follow so many on Substack that it’s sometimes difficult to take the time to let you know how much I appreciate you.
"The Trump administration on Monday said it had slashed billions in social services funds to a handful of blue states as part of its escalating response to new and unproven fraud allegations in Minnesota."
That "handful of states": California, Colorado, Illinois, Minnesota, and New York represent 84-fucking MILLION Americans. 24% of ALL Americans.
Sending you guys huge and long hugs ...(and I'm a good hugger). You play a large part in making these days bearable for me and, I bet, lots and lots of other folks. And you make me giggle. Thank you many times over.
The thing about that CBS news clip is that they normally record the show 30 minutes before it airs and run it from the recording, specifcally to avoid exactly what happened. So CBS has devolved into amateur hour, apparently. (they do the same thing for the morning shows, and anything that needs to be rerun are called "fixes")

How far have we fallen!
He said he never forgot where he came from and where he was going back to.

Stay safe out there.
Thanks Sam, Thanks Adam.

Thankfully - it was a stupid remark by her tho I understand the selfish reasoning

Another cosplay day for Kristi? Dress her up as a Capital Police Officer with blood and bandages.

Take the House of Representatives and get rid of the demented rapist felon in the White House.

sigh, in that video, the place that Plichta was standing looked awfully like a sidewalk.
Tony is incompetent and has no soul. Complete sellout.
