Normally I agree with your views, but if you are suggesting that by posting about a happy family event makes Amy Klobuchar a bad representative (small r), that is way off base. Minnesotans need some signs of regular life, not just the disaster of ICE.
What you’re describing is called privilege. You can call for a “normal life” because Liam Ramos isn’t your kid and Renee Good wasn’t your wife. Nothing happening in Minnesota is “normal” and it disgusts me seeing someone who represents that state pretend otherwise.

I’m glad Amy’s family is safe and living a”normal” life but many of her constituents are living in fear for their literal lives. Kids being stalked as bait should send everyone into 5-alarm fire mode. I agree with you. In NV, we have magat Mark Amodei as our congressman in District 2, and his one accomplishment has been to put up a freeway sign honoring some former governor whose former accomplishments nobody remembers. Privilege is exactly what that is.
