I live in SC. Good news is more than one repub is running so it likely won’t be Mace. Bad news is it likely will be the trump-endorsed lt gov or the current AG Alan Wilson, son of Joe “ You Lie” Wilson, who is unfortunately my rep ☹️. The only Dem currently running announced and then 10 days later engaged in an incoherent drunken rank with police that was caught on video. But people have till late March to declare so maybe someone will step up.
Unfortunately, we’ve gotten more red since 2020; we were holding around 53/47, now we’re 60/40 red/blue and we’ve had great moderate Dems in the past few years who should have appealed to some repubs, but nope. Now I think it’s moving into extreme partisanship with the big increase in red voters so not sure any dem could succeed because people here only care about the R after the name.
SNL will be next. It is over 50 years old and therefore not Trump’s type.
