It’s Thursday. There are 61 days until the midterm elections. What Republicans taught us about court expansion yesterday, we ride with Raskin and wondering why the media don’t care about Elon.
Prison's too good for him. He needs to have his citizenship revoked (because he lied on his initial application), Starlink and SpaceX nationalized in the name of national security, and get deported to, IDK, Uganda or India, or someplace far from South Africa.
It looks bad, but it's not. It's what happens when you put a steel ship into seawater. Don't worry about the rust; worry about the extended (and unnecessary) period at sea and it's effects on the crew.
Agreed. I am much more concerned about the 5,000 humans on board the ship. What hell has been visited on them all these many months? Isolated on a ship in the ocean for hundreds of days, no outside communication, lousy food... it's worse than a concentration camp. Thanks to Defense Secretary and his asinine orders. Idiot.
The USS Stennis did 2 back to back Gulf deployments ( we did a mini yard time but were home maybe 3 months in the 5 months between deployments) and the hull never looked that bad!!
That lightning bolt hit the wrong republican. Give trump an umbrella and push him out into a storm. Seriously, I hope his marathon campaign trip kills him.
Hit the road, Donnie Boy! Your only hope of salvation is to spend tax dollars flying around the country. The rubes need to hear more about your ballroom, your gold plated whatevers, the magical helipad, perfect reflecting pool, data centers and whatever is going on behind the tarp at the WH. You'll have your dementia home healthcare aid, diaper nanny and first acolyte Natalie with you, to keep your fantasy world intact. They will come in droves to hear you mumble and slur and fall asleep standing up. And even better, Donnie, you will be shortening the time until the biggest event ever. The one where you won't have to worry if you have a Depends blowout. You won't have to hide your rotting flesh. You won't even have to sit up - you'll get a comfy place to lie down in. No walking up stairs. There will be huge celebrations, ALL OVER THE WORLD, just for you. Parades, even. Maybe with squeaky tanks. Won't that be the very bestest, Donnie? You'll be the center of attention for weeks, months, maybe even years. And you won't have to lift a finger.
Thanks Adam and Sam for always brightening my day! Although, this item is VERY SAD, Ms. Gloria Steinem will ALWAYS BE REMEMBERED AND REVERED for her participation in the WOMEN'S RIGHTS MOVEMENT! As a charter member of this movement, may she RIP!
Appreciate the mention of early voting, fellas. I know Simon Rosenberg has mentioned getting large platforms on board with a BIG push and information dissemination to voters about voting early this cycle! Maybe you could join in? It really really matters!
Hey SP's out there. Here's the question of the day....
Why the fuck can't we have Raskin as the House Speaker?
Everyone we know trusts him. And we can bet Dollars to Donuts..He would have taken a "secret" meeting with cadaver boy. He doesn't sneak around a question, he answers them forthright.
I see no reason to keep Jeffries...none.
His big claim to that position is that he's a big money maker for the party...if that's so why (Supposedly) is the DNC broke? And really? that's all it takes? The best MONEY person?
on the EPA plan to "eliminate a federal requirement that states notify the public and seek comment before issuing air pollution permits for data centers and other industrial facilities."
Here riseth the Unitary Executive Monster again. The requirement that states give opportunity for comment for major projects--which big data centers are--is STAUTORY (42 U.S.C. 7475(a)(2) and 42 USC 7410) The EPA cannot "eliminate" by regulation what a statute requires. At least not till we got these Extremes pontificating. For minor projects, they can. Basically if the project requires backup diesel generator capacity, (there may be other similar things)-- states can't waive the notice. Because such capacities affect air quality. The tipping point is the "major source emission" threshold. For minor projects, notice and comment under the Clean Air Act has already almost always been discretionary for the state permitting process, with a few exceptions
We all need to be very worried about the Executive simply nullifying what statutes require. It started with "oh, firings don't have to be for cause" and seems to be "oh, Congress has no role in the Ballroom or the Kennedy Center" This pretty much makes Congress an advisory board.
I wish Elon Musk would rot in prison

Antarctica?
Works for me. Especially if, like the poor guy in New York(?), he's left without a coat.
🙋♀️ same
"Look at our rusted out aircraft carrier."

I said it looks bad, but that's not the problem. Neither of the two destroyers I served on every got that bad, but on one deployment got pretty close.

Giving Jabba a piggy back ride would definitely add new meaning to the term.
Trump doesn't need a very big ballroom.
We Ride with Raskin

How low we have stooped.

Hit the road Don, hit it hard.
hit the road Don, show your card.
Show your idolaters your golden calf
Get your love while it lasts
Time is not on your side, Don
Here comes the People to say bye bye
the House and Senate can't save your hide
Look out for Raskin, he's very clear eyed.
A little art therapy, thanks for the space
Thank you Ms. Steinem, thank you.
Speaking as some who used to be a Clippers fan, Note 18 hurt. It's true but it still hurt. *Sigh*
