What Walz isn’t

He isn’t weird like Trump and Vance

Tim Walz is the kind of guy you can trust with your furniture.

He might repair a wobbly wheel or fix that one leg that’s too short, but you can rest easy knowing he will not try to have sex with your couch.

Can we say the same about JD Vance? Sadly, no. 

By selecting Gov. Walz as her running mate, Vice President Harris has gone radically normal, picking an everyman who actually likes and cares about everyone, and Republicans have no idea how to react.

Because to them, Walz is weird. 

He stands up for the LGBTQ+ community. Weird.

He doesn’t want school children to starve. Weird.

He thinks women should be in charge of their own bodies and medical decisions. Weird.

He thinks people should pass background checks before buying guns. Weird.

He thinks weed should be legal and not ruin lives. Weird.

How in the world did someone who cares so much about the people of his state ever make it this far in politics? Because most American voters want someone in office who cares about them and not just their own careers. Does Vance fit that description? How about Trump?

And that’s why they’re so worried. Trump and Vance like to put on make-up and pretend to be a champion for the everyman. Walz doesn’t need make-up. He wakes up like that. 

While Vance spent weeks talking about childless cat ladies and yelling at his kid for playing Picachu (and we spent weeks talking about couch-fucking and dolphin porn), Walz has an actual record of being a real human being and helping other real human beings to talk about.

Vice President Harris has made her first big decision as the nominee, and it makes clear that she is focused like a laser on helping the American people.

Trump wanted someone who would kiss his ass. Harris wanted someone who could actually do the job.

Isn’t that weird?
