Ope! Vance's Mtn Dew Pic Shows Inflation Is Waning, Harris's Efforts Are Working

Yesterday, Congressman Mike Waltz (R-FL) and JD Vance posed for a photo they intended as harmless and lighthearted. “Ready to campaign with my fellow Diet Mountain Dew fan @JDVance,” Waltz’s tweet reads.

Keen observers were quick to point out a key photo detail undercutting Vance’s rhetoric on inflation. “Inflation Hits Lowest Level Since 2021,” declares the Wall Street Journal frontpage laying on Vance’s tabletop. Ope.

You can’t make this stuff up.

To paraphrase Vice President Kamala Harris, progress on inflation did not just fall out of a coconut tree. In 2022, the Inflation Reduction Act passed the U.S. Senate by a vote of 51-50, with Harris breaking the tie. As a Senate candidate at the time, JD Vance opposed the legislation that President Biden signed into law.

Even after he presumably read this article, Vance continued to blame Harris for inflation, ignoring the role of corporate greed, ignoring that the U.S. has among the very lowest inflation in the world, ignoring the fact that every Republican opposed the Inflation Reduction Act, and ignoring the role of Harris’s efforts in curbing inflation.

Kamala Harris and Tim Walz are working for the American people. Donald Trump and JD Vance are power-hungry fraudsters ignoring the literal black and white facts in front of them.
