Because he’s also a totally irredeemable piece of shit who attempted a coup against our nation and said Tuesday that he has “no regrets” about defaming Georgia election workers Shaye Moss and Ruby Freeman. Note two: Last night at the Republican convention, they claimed to be the law and order party. Tonight they will hear from Peter Navarro who literally just got out of prison. Oh and their nominee is a convicted felon. More: CNN

Note three: Elon Musk says he’s moving out of California because Gavin Newsom doesn’t want trans kids being abused. Sounds like California just got even cooler. More: Associated Press

Note four: Biden spoke to the NAACP yesterday, and he was on fire. We’re sure Trump will speak to the group any day now. More: USA Today

Note five: This dude says Republicans are going “totally unhinged” if Trump loses. Buddy, you’re already there. (More: Acyn)

Note six: Jon Stewart had Bill O’Reilly on the Daily Show last night. In addition to being a who-gives-a-shit guest, it also seemed like a crappy thing to do to the women O’Reilly harassed. More: NO LINK

Note seven: Ben Carson took the stage last night and said “they” tried to kill Trump. We didn’t do shit. Some registered Republican did. More: USA Today

Note eight: And Nikki Haley went full Ted Cruz last night, showing up at the convention and endorsing the scum who attacked her husband. We’d call her pathetic, but that doesn’t seem harsh enough. More: NBC News

Note nine: Ron DeSantis was also there. We assume he has his poop map in his pocket. We’re not linking to any stories about him because really who gives a shit.

Note 10: LOL. Watch Matt Gaetz try to act tough and then run away when someone calls him an asshole…

Note 12: Melania hasn’t been seen at the convention. She must be working hard on one of Michelle Obama’s speeches.

Note 13: Can someone tell us what the hell is going on with MSNBC? Why is Katy Tur gushing over Republican unity and kissing Eric Trump’s ass?

Note 15: Marjorie Taylor Greene says JD Vance believes the same things she does. We know, Marjorie. That’s why we’re gonna stop his ass.

Note 16: Seems like at some point the American people should have heard from Trump’s doctor or some kind of medical professional. Maybe some journalists should consider looking into that. 

Note 17: We’re still so pissed about the Teamster president addressing the GOP convention. And then he turns around and admits that Biden has been the most pro-union president ever? More: The New Republic

Not the same
Wanna hear something crazy? Yesterday Democratic U.S. Sen. Bob Menendez was convicted for taking bribes and stuff and Democrats didn’t blame a rigged justice system. In fact, Menendez’s colleagues, including fellow N.J. Sen. Corey Booker and Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, called on Menendez to resign. He won’t, but we still tried to do the right thing. And we didn’t even threaten any judges or juries or witnesses during the whole thing. So no, the two parties are not the same. More: Axios

Go Joe
In our book, this one is long overdue, but better late than never. With a broken and corrupt Supreme Court taking a wrecking ball to the rule of law, President Joe Biden is considering coming out with a call for tough reforms, including term limits and an enforceable code of conduct for justices. These calls obviously won’t get far with a divided government, but it will bring some much-needed attention to a runaway court that has gone full MAGA. More: CNN

Vice President Harris ain’t afraid of Jiggly Dumpeater (JD) Vance. This morning, Harris put out a 45-second video of her talking to the camera and calling Vance a “rubber stamp” for Trump and his extremist policies. Harris blasted Vance for being loyal to Trump and not America, and she hit him hard on abortion rights. VP Harris clearly ready for the debate. So are we. More: The Hill
