The Democratic nominee for the presidency is on the attack. And we love to see it.
Vice President Kamala Harris’s campaign is just a few days old and still a shock to absorb, but she has already demonstrated an ability to unite the party, raise money and, perhaps most importantly, go right at the sick, twisted asshead we’re up against.
The latest example of Harris’s No Fear campaign came Thursday afternoon when she was asked if she would debate Trump. While President Biden had a scheduled debate with Trump set for Sept. 10 on ABC, Trump has recently been whining about the agreement and pushing for the debate to be moved to his buddies’ place at Fox News.
Harris said Thursday she’ll be at the agreed upon debate. And then she made our day.
“He agreed to that previously [and] now it appears he’s backpedaling. But I’m ready,” Harris said. “And I think the voters deserve to see the split screen that exists in this race on a debate stage. And so I’m ready. Let’s go.”
Oh hell yes.
Despite our many victories over him, it has sure felt like Trump has had us on our heels for years with his relentless and buffoonish attack strategy. But not today. Today we are on the attack. Today we are on offense. And it feels so good.
Vice President Harris hasn’t missed a beat since last weekend’s historic surprise. The Democratic Party put its faith in her to prosecute the case against one of America’s greatest criminals, and the fight she is demonstrating daily suggests she will reward that faith.
So we’ll see you on Sept. 10, Donnie. Unless you’re chicken.
Vice President Harris will be there. She’s ready. So let’s go.
