I bet Trump would get up and walk out after the first few sentences . He can’t take criticism.

If only…

I can think of a few choice words……

A timely guest post and a wish many of us share. It would certainly be a courageous and welcome standpoint.

Of course, the particular addressee of such eloquent remarks might not hear them in their entirety for having lumbered laboriously and conspicuously out of the dinner before the fourth paragraph, or, in the alternative, for having sat in a mean, sizzling, hunched-up heap while composing his longest-ever online all-caps diatribe.

Much like when the steam was rising from his cranium while Obama so fabulously skewered him at the same dinner years back

Michelle W.'s avatar

Indeed, indeed. A fond, memorable moment.

It could be a shit show…..

Just him attending makes it a shit show

Too many words… he’d get lost as it droned on and then get angry and probably storm out while hearing the litany of his attacks. Then he’d miss the most important words in the last 4 paragraphs.

“Finally” should be dropped and just begin there. Perhaps he’d actually hear the most important words.

Look like a bunch of us are on the same page about an abrupt, furious exit.

I wish someone would have the gravitas to make this necessary speech. I’m also waiting for someone to take up Jeff Tiedrich’s challenge of saying to Trump “What the fuck is wrong with you?” during one of his bullshit pressers.

When people ask, “what is the one question you would ask him?” I always say that same thing.

Fantasy. It will never happen. She’ll flatter him and the attendees will squirm in their chairs wishing they had the courage to walk out.

Excellent! Would love to see this Op Ed in the Minnesota Star Tribune! (And maybe a few hundred other newspapers)

If only they’d say all that to his face.

What’s the point of this “dinner” if not to uphold the standards of the freedom of the press. It’s so sad that the press no longer can represent the truth in our democracy. I love this post and hope that someone there will stand up in this way.

Excellent. Too bad he’ll never read it.

IF. ONLY.

But it never will happen.
