Trump’s dumb start to 2026 might ensure a happy ending to the year
The president of the United States is an idiot and a criminal who just started an idiotic, criminal war with Venezuela. Happy New Year, right?
With his poll numbers in the shitter and even his staunchest supporters wondering what the hell he’s hiding in the Epstein files, Trump sent U.S. military personnel into Venezuela this weekend, where they arrested and kidnapped Nicolas Maduro.
Let’s say from the jump that Maduro sucks. That’s not a hard case to argue. But our president sucks too. Does that mean other countries can invade us and arrest him? Because we might be ok with that.
Trump made clear on Fox and Friends this morning that he did this because of oil. The drug charges don’t even mention fentanyl. And if cocaine is such a big deal then why did he pardon a massive drug dealer and why did he give birth to Don Jr.? And if Maduro is convicted in New York, can he then run to be our president? Are those courts and juries and judges suddenly legit?
No, this is an illegal war for oil. Just like Iraq, except they forgot to dress this up in the American flag and pretend it was about freedom.
The bad news is there’s lots of bad news. Trump clearly has no plan for what comes next, and we can assume he will treat this with the same delusions, dumbassness and cruelty he does literally everything else. He is already threatening Mexico. This will be a disaster. They happen a lot under Trump.
The good news is this should be the final wake-up call the American people need to change directions this November. They voted for lower prices and instead they got a war with Venezuela and a new ballroom. Americans were already sick and tired of Trump’s bullshit. This won’t help him.
But capitalizing on this dumb shit will require Democrats to be steadfast in their opposition to Trump’s crimes. We watched a generation of Democratic leaders scar themselves permanently by voting for the Iraq War because they were afraid of being branded traitors or cowards. We cannot make that mistake again.
Trump is starting an illegal war to help his rich oil buddies, and he doesn’t mind putting American soldiers in danger to do so. Any Democrat who is ok with that is not ok with us.
So fight back, Democrats. America is with you.
The fact that Trump did this is not surprising at all, but what is shocking is that the military carried out his orders. These were patently illegal orders. There was no reason for us to do this as evidenced by the fact that he has stated multiple reasons why he wanted to do this. We all knew it was the oil. The World Court should drag his ass out of the White House, just like he had his military drag Maduro and his wife out of their beds, and put him on trial at The Hague. This is a war crime. This is Putin territory. If nothing is done about this, what is to stop him from putting the military, who seem to be very willing to follow illegal orders, on the streets and prevent the November elections from happening?
