Musk’s South African White Male Fragility

Why does Elon want USAID to ‘die?’ Probably because it helped end Apartheid.

USAID feeds hungry people across the world, among other humanitarian work, in the interest of our national security. Even so, Elon Musk said he wants USAID to “die.” So he put Americans working for USAID on leave without notice and locked them out of communications equipment they need to stay safe in war-torn regions. But does Elon Musk really hate humanitarian work so badly? Or was it something else that hurt him??

Well, an important historical note — that USAID helped end Apartheid — sheds new light on Elon’s relentless and soulless attack on USAID. During Apartheid, Black South Africans were robbed of human rights and political power. White South Africans, who had previously sat on “Europeans only” benches, lost their unjust privilege after Apartheid. Elon Musk is, of course, a white South African.

The richest man in the world is taking food away from starving people where our goodwill is a matter of national security — and he’s jeopardizing the lives of American citizens doing USAID’s good work. All because his little white ego got butthurt. That’s the damage a horrible human can inflict after he purchased the presidency for 290 million USD.

The same Elon Musk who grew up in “elite, segregated white communities that were littered with anti-Black government propaganda” was “barely ever looking back” on his home country post-Apartheid. He’s made “repeated and false claims over the years” that South African authorities are anti-white and support killing white people in the country. And Elon even convinced Donald Trump to make his phony homeland grievances a part of American foreign policy. “South Africa is confiscating land, and treating certain classes of people VERY BADLY,” Trump falsely stated, vowing to withhold aid to the country. South African President Cyril Ramaphosa was alarmed by Trump’s post and called Musk, a conversation Ramaphosa’s spokeswoman described as “logical.”

And after fundraising for Germany’s Nazi-lite party, earning white supremacist praise for his apparent Hitler salute, joking about the Holocaust and getting slammed by both the Anti-Defamation League and the chairman of Israel's official Holocaust memorial…

…his latest racism is agreeing that white South Africans should get special immigration rights over South Africans who are Black.

So this guy really, really, really thinks white men like himself don’t get a fair shake in life. Make Apartheid Great Again is perhaps what he means by MAGA. In the United States, we have similar horrible people who can’t get over the Civil War. Their losing battle flag is about racism, not heritage. But here’s the thing: Apartheid is Elon Musk’s heritage, and he’s behaving as such.

His cars crash themselves. His shuttles blow up in the sky. His stocks tank. His teenage minions steal U.S. Treasury data. He destroys everything he touches, and now his hands are all over the highest levers of American and global power.

And not one of us voted for him.
