Marching for Minnesota
A violent attack on two Democratic lawmakers reminds us why we’re marching
We were already pissed off and ready to march. Now we can’t get out there fast enough.
This was the week we were reminded that Donald Trump loves political violence, and blood flows because of him. We saw Marines in Los Angeles, we saw DHS Secretary Kristi Noem’s thugs assault U.S. Sen. Alex Padilla. And now we’ve seen a murderer, pretending to be a cop, bust into the homes of two Minnesota Democrats, shooting them and others and killing State Rep. Melissa Hortman and her husband.
If we don’t want to be this gross, ugly, fucked up nation, then we have to push back and we have to push back now.
So while Trump is having his “perade” today — yeah, that’s what his dumb ass really wrote — we will be in the streets like millions of freedom-loving people around the world. We’re already seeing No Kings marches in other countries, and we love it.
Things have gotten scary in a hurry. Those of us who warned this was all coming are shocked but not surprised. We have seen Trump’s violence before. We know how much he enjoys it. We know his hatred for Americans who don’t worship at his feet. And that’s why we’re marching today — to say FUCK YOU to an idiot orange gameshow host who thinks he can rule over us.
If you can make it, please join us. If you can’t, we understand and we know you’re joining us in spirit.
We have plenty of reasons to be in the streets today. But one big one is we’re marching because Rep. Melissa Hortman can’t. We’re sending love to her family, and we’re sending rage toward Washington, D.C.
This isn’t the America we want to be, and we’re about to make that really fucking clear.
The violence is all on the right side of the spectrum. These are the people with no plan, no morals, only their petty grievances. Trump must go. He is the cancer on this country.
They are the monsters. Stay peaceful and march! 🗽
