Dolly Parton never talked politics and she is almost universally loved. I understand that Dolly gave millions of books to kids, she was supportive of LGBTQ+ people and I don’t believe she ever publicly said a critical or unkind word about anyone. Even with all the damage that Trump did to the country, she held her tongue and kept her opinions to herself.
I don’t know much about Glen Powell. Maybe he’s a lib, maybe he’s a Nazi. But at least he isn’t in my face about it. Not everyone is going to be a Robert De Nero or Bruce Springsteen.
An old John Cleese bit came up on my Facebook feed this morning. In it he talks about the advantages of being an extremist. Whether on the left or the right, it allows a person feel good about himself and he gets a list of people to hate. The funny part is that both groups hate moderates.
On that note, I get a daily newsletter from the Washington Sun. In today’s briefs, they indicated that sources in the Senate told them that the man of sternly worded letters will remain the leader of Senate Democrats whether they get a majority or not. This leaves me extremely frustrated because I’d like to see a charismatic fighter in that position. Two more years of bumbling Chuck means corporate Dems retain power and the people get the shaft.

Possibly find an older person, who has already built a bomb shelter...

Interesting comments about Trump in SA. Puro SA. For context, when bragging about the crowd. The Freeman Coliseum is possibly one of the smallest venues in SA. It is mainly used for craft fairs and the livestock portion of the San Antonio Livestock Show and Rodeo. Bragging about the size of the crowd really isn't a win.
Also now sure how well known this is but San Antonio is a big military city. Lackland, Kelly and Randolph Air Force Bases, Fort Sam (Army), and Brooks Army Medical Center (huge burn unit) are there. I really don't think talking about bombing a city with a military base should play well there.
I'm beginning to think Trump and his cohorts are not as successful in their machinations of ruining the election. He's campaigning too much. But that could just be wishful thinking.
