It’s Monday. And we wanted to say goodbye to a real president.
Be advised: This newsletter uses profanity. Even for solemn occasions.
Note: Well goddamnit, Sexy Patriots. By now you’ve heard the bad news and the good news. The bad news is that Jimmy Carter, the 39th president of the United States, died yesterday at 100. The good news is he won’t have to put up with anymore stupid dumbass fucking Trump shit.
It really sucks to lose such a good man, especially when we seem to be mass-producing assholes at a record pace these days. But Carter was a good man and a good president and a good husband who was just plain good. It makes us so happy to know he’s reunited with Rosalynn and the Allman Brothers Band and that he won’t have to watch that miserable orange dingus take the oath of office.
Thank you, Mr. President, for showing us time and again just how good we can be. Sorry we have failed so often to follow your example. Rest easy, sir.
Note two: Here’s the Allmans doing In Memory of Elizabeth Reed for those who want a heavy jam…
Note three: And here’s Blue Sky to put a smile on your face….
A great man and humanitarian . Big loss for all .Thank you altmedia for a great post . peace to you
Love this — my sentiments exactly, and with this sad loss, it is also bittersweet that Pres. Biden is still in office to preside over Pres. Carter’s proper Statesman’s Funeral, and will not be the orange dotard.
He and Rosalynn are indeed reunited, and Id like to think they are perhaps out there dancing together across the universe to the Allmans’ jams.
