The last time we saw her anywhere other than twitter, former Trump attorney Jenna Ellis was sobbing in an Atlanta courthouse as she pleaded guilty for her part in a coup attempt against the United States.
Now Ellis has gone from crying to talking.
Arizona Attorney General Kris Mayes announced Monday that her office had reached a “cooperation agreement” with Ellis in the state’s case against Trump’s fake electors. Ellis had been charged with nine felonies, but Mayes agreed to drop the charges in exchange for Ellis becoming a snitch.
(We actually think these kinds of agreements are often vital to obtaining justice in a lot of cases, and we don’t mean to denigrate the maneuver by calling Ellis a snitch. We just thought it was funny. Fucking rat.)
“This agreement represents a significant step forward in our case,” Mayes said, according to a press release Mayes posted on social media. “I am grateful to Ms. Ellis for her cooperation with our investigation and prosecution. Her insights are invaluable and will greatly aid the State in proving its case in court. As I stated when the initial charges were announced, I will not allow American democracy to be undermined — it is far too important. Today’s announcement is a win for the rule of law.”
And it’s a loss for Trump and his gang of treasonous assheads. Maybe now they’ll do the crying.
…oh awesome - another law suit that will do absolutely fucking nothing
