Who would have thought that, in 2025, a set of Encyclopedia Britannica would be worth its weight in gold?

No shit S.G., We buy old books. Now more than ever, we wonder if a current copy of say Orwell's "1984" has been tampered with. And lots of other books too. If you haven't read Ray Bradbury's "Fahrenheit 451" now's a good time to do so.

Save history books written around 1950, and every 30 years later and earlier.

lol, we have a set of Colliers Encyclopedia from 1956. The good ole days of the cold war. Of course with the propaganda of the times. We also collect dictionaries.

Keep collecting, save your favorites.

Hang onto those! And maybe find a more recent set, too.

Always the sign of a desperate despot when he shoots the messengers.

Pure Orwellian days, my friends. But let's not go gently into that good night.

Rage Against the Regime tomorrow somewhere: https://www.rageagainsttheregime.org/

I never thought the day would come when true evil and darkness fell upon my beloved country. That said, you have perfectly captured where we are and what we must do, Sam. I agree 100% that it is up to us to do all that we can -- to fight the good fight and preserve the truth. I accept this new mission! Godspeed.

If you are going to deploy nuclear subs off the coast of Russia, don't tell Russia, let alone the whole world. Idiot. If you are pretending to broker peace between Russia and Ukraine, you don't send nuclear subs to Russia. Idiot. Someone please, give this man a PlayStation.

You are so right! He cannot not be a madman and insists on letting the world know every deranged thought that comes into his excuse for a mind. Including our long standing enemies.

He doesn't see the Irony. Just like him, he touts America as the strongest economy in the world while simultaneously playing pinball with tariffs under an economic emergency clause. You can't have both.

We've arrived at the question posed at the end of "Fahrenheit 451" (both the book and the movie):

"Which book will you be?"

My dad, a Holocaust survivor, used to say that when the Nazis took over morality was turned on its head. What was once immoral, like murder and theft, became moral. We are back there again but in the USA.

You and Adam are my favorites. Though my heart is breaking for my country, and this once news/politics junky has had to give up her usual past time, I look forward to every thing you two put out. Please keep it up as long as you can. The nation needs you. More than it can even begin to know.

Americans may have to remove these fascists from the buildings they occupy. No one ever wants to talk about what it might REALLY require of us to save our democracy, but that day is coming.

I read a lot of a news and manage to keep my reaction under control. Eevery fiber of my being is reacting to this, Sam. Where, or is, there a breaking point, a turn of the tide , something on the horizon ? Will summer town halls explode as in Wisconsin?

Agree with every word, except one. The “ballroom” is supposed to cost somewhere in the neighborhood of 200 mil, not bil. That’s ridiculous enough.

Thank you. I've to read truth and reality. Until yesterday, I actually had a tiny drop of hope that we would survive as nation. And then he took control of trusted government accounting. That, and the submarine business. I'm guessing the Epstein stuff is terrifying him. Ya, we're in an incredibly serious mess but I agree with you. We can't keep quiet. The truth always does prevail even if it takes many years. I won't be around for many years but my grandchildren will be and they're on fire. Or getting there.

Maxwell is about to Epsteined- minimum security - CCTV will have a glitch or she will be disappeared.. The Orange Ogre can't take the chance she will ever spill her guts so they will neutralize her. It was done to two people in Butler, PA. This should be easy for them to do to her. She should be as terrified as those little girls she trafficked to Epstein and his friends! Karma!
