Speaking with a woman yesterday (I would bet my money a trump supporter) who is married to a Mexican man and several of his family members live near her. This is a very red town so I have seen city police assisting ICE. She was aware enough to caution them about carrying ID but had no idea what is going on and that ICE doesn't give a damn if they have legal work visas. "I never watch news". Had no idea about Renee, what is going on in MN, etc. Probably unaware of Charlotte in her own back yard. She did listen to us and then said "Is it me or is Trump2 a lot worse than Trump1". Welcome to the doorstep of reality, ma'am. Step right in. Seriously. I assured her those work visas mean nothing to ICE if they will shoot a white mom of 3 in the face for simply existing.
People in this country are so happily ignorant and apathetic and they are going to get a lot of us killed. It's no wonder we are in such a mess. So if trump support is tanking as much as polls show, imagine if more Americans actually cared to know wtf is going on in their country.
